Where We've Been // Robin Imholte (Ernst), Principal

Prior to starting her advertising agency, UW Husky Robin Imholte worked for a television station in Seattle selling airtime to local businesses. There were so many aspects of the job that she loved, but her favorite part was getting to know the entrepreneurs behind each business that advertised on the station. She was fascinated by each of their unique stories; finding at times she felt as if she was living vicariously through them as an entrepreneur at heart.

As Robin became increasingly successful at her ad sales job she began to see a need to be filled. The need business owners had to truly understand how they were investing their advertising dollars. So many smart entrepreneurs, who strategically run every other area of their businesses, were throwing dollars around without a thorough understanding of what they were buying, without knowing if they were getting a good "deal" and with very little idea of how to successfully measure their ROI (Return on Investment). Thus Thrive was born. The entrepreneur in her saw a need to be met; the negotiator in her thrived on the idea of making sure other business owners were making sound advertising investments. As for the name Thrive, it is an adjective that describes the way she desires to live her life and run her business, intentionally thriving.

Now in addition to running her own company, Robin is an avid social media enthusiast and blogger. She blogs for Girl Power Hour, Mission Hot Mama and writes her own blog Million Dollar MOMpreneur.
